About Zero Latency Gold Coast

Zero Latency Gold Coast is a virtual reality venue in Southport where players walk freely around a 200 sqm arena. There are no cables or backpacks, just a headset and a gun controller, and up to eight people share each game. The arena line-up covers shooters, zombie outbreaks, puzzle-led space adventures and a Far Cry game. A game master briefs everyone first and keeps the session safe, and players can see the walls and each other inside the game. Groups who prefer solving to shooting can book a VR escape room instead. These run in a private space for up to five players, with 11 rooms to pick from, and Hero Zone VR offers a family-friendly mix of four shorter adventures. The venue pitches its parties at bucks and hens groups, birthdays and corporate team days, and can host up to 60 people. Bigger groups play back-to-back games, and a booking coordinator can organise catering from a local partner. The lobby has pool tables and tabletop games, plus a licensed bar and coffee for those waiting their turn. Axe throwing also runs on site, along with full-motion car and flight simulators that can be added to a party package. Birthday parties are accepted for ages 11 and up, and every player under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent. Players must be at least 130 cm tall for the arena and cannot play under the influence of alcohol.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can play at once?

The arena takes up to eight players per game, so larger groups run back-to-back sessions. VR escape rooms and Hero Zone VR take two to five per room, and the venue can host parties of up to 60 people.

How much does it cost?

VR escape rooms are $39 per person on weekdays and $49 on weekends. Arena games are $49 per person on weekdays and $59 on weekends, and group rates start at 17 players.

Can kids have a birthday party here?

Birthday parties are accepted from age 11, and all players under 18 need a waiver signed by a parent. Children aged 10 to 12 need a playing adult with them and must book all eight spots in the arena.

Is food and drink available?

A licensed bar and coffee are on site, and catering can be arranged through the venue with a $150 minimum order. Do your drinking after the game, as anyone under the influence of alcohol cannot play.

What should we wear, and can I keep my glasses on?

Wear light, comfortable clothes and sensible shoes, as high heels are not allowed on the arena. Glasses are fine unless the frames are large, since the headset has limited room, so contact lenses are the safer choice.
