Karaoke Venues in Melbourne's Inner South

Booking Karaoke Venues: What to Know

For private karaoke in the inner south, Princes Pool, Bar & Karaoke sits in Carnegie, east of Caulfield, with nine soundproofed rooms beside a bar and pool tables. Its rooms work for a birthday, a hens night or simply a group of friends, from a mini room for two up to the Premium XL for 20.

Who the Carnegie rooms suit:

A birthday crowd of up to 20 in the Premium XL room.
A hens group of eight to 14 in the VIP room.
Two to six friends in the mini room.
Daytime groups on a weekday afternoon package of three or six hours.
Pool players, with tables on the main floor and VIP tables by the hour.

Room packages start from $198 room hire.

Packages are sold per room, not per head, so a fuller room spreads the cost further.
Weekday and weekend afternoons have separate rates.
Evening packages from 6pm on Friday to Sunday run six hours.
Those evening packages come back in full as credit for food and drinks.

Pairing karaoke with the rest of the night

Princes opens daily from 2pm, which leaves time for a long lunch beforehand.
The bar inside serves the rooms, so food and drinks need no second stop.
Songs span English, Mandarin and other international catalogues.
Each room has lounge seating and a touch-screen system for queuing songs.
