About Tarte Tea Garden
The Tarte Tea Garden sits within Tarte Beach House on Currumbin Creek, a green room of flowers and climbing plants beside the restaurant. High tea is the main event, served in 90-minute sittings from Wednesday to Sunday. The bakery supplies everything on the stand. Expect warm scones with jam and cream, crullers, tartes, cookies and muffin tops on the sweet side, with bagels and finger sandwiches on the savoury side. Each guest chooses a hot or cold drink, and the list runs to speciality teas, prosecco, champagne, mimosas and Aperol spritz. Groups have three main options. A private high tea takes over the garden tables for up to 24 seated guests, and The Hideout upstairs seats 12 to 32 with air conditioning, a balcony and views through a century-old fig tree. For a bigger party, hiring all of the garden from 2pm gives room for 80 on their feet, with high tea or canapes and cocktails. The spaces are used for baby showers, bridal showers, hens days and birthdays, and The Hideout also hosts corporate brunches. Hosts can bring florals, props and signage, while the bakery takes cake orders as outside food cannot come in. Send an enquiry with your date and rough numbers, and the team can suggest the right space.

Frequently asked questions
How much is high tea at the Tarte Tea Garden?
A standard sitting is $55 a person with a hot or cold drink. Making the garden private for up to 24 adds $500, and The Hideout is $89 a person with a drink on arrival.
How many guests can a private booking take?
The garden seats up to 24 for a private high tea and The Hideout seats 12 to 32. Whole-garden hire has a minimum of 30 and takes up to 80 standing.
Can we bring our own cake or decorations?
Decorations are welcome, including florals, props, signage and an arch. Outside food and drink cannot come in, so celebration cakes are ordered from the bakery with 24 to 48 hours notice.
What happens if it rains on our event?
The Hideout is indoors with air conditioning, and whole-garden hire includes an inside space as well as the garden, so a wet day does not stop the party.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
The savoury tier can be made gluten free or dairy free if you mention it when booking. Note any allergies in the booking and the team can talk you through the tiers.
