About MANIAX Gold Coast
MANIAX Gold Coast is an axe throwing venue upstairs in the Paradise Centre in Surfers Paradise. It has four group lanes and 11 single lanes, and it can take up to 300 throwers for a large event. Every booking opens with a safety briefing and hands-on coaching, so nobody needs experience or much strength. Your coach guides the group through three axe types and a run of competitive games, and sessions usually last one to two hours. Bucks and hens groups can book a one-hour package with a dedicated host for 13 or more guests. Groups of seven or more have two-hour hosted options, and workplaces can choose a round-robin team challenge on weekdays. The Viking-themed bar, Ragnar & Sons, pours cocktails, mead paddles, craft beer, wine and alcohol-free drinks. Food comes through the packages, from shared pizza to a Viking feast, and large groups can ask about hiring the whole venue. Throwers must be at least 11, closed-toe shoes are required, and you can send an enquiry with your numbers and date.

What does axe throwing cost here?
The one-hour Viking Hour is $58 per person. The bucks and hens package is $62 per person, the two-hour hosted Urban Viking is $68 per person, and packages with food or drinks start at $93 per person.
Is there a minimum age to throw?
Yes, throwers must be 11 or older. Those aged 11 to 17 need a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and a responsible adult on site, with one adult for every 15 minors.
Can we bring our own food or drinks?
No, the venue is licensed and does not allow BYO food or alcohol. A water bottle or a birthday cake is the exception, and pizza, feasts and drinks can be added through the group packages.
What should the group wear?
Closed-toe shoes are essential for everyone throwing. Light, loose clothing is a good idea in summer, and the coaches supervise every session and explain the house rules at the safety briefing.
