About Axe Throwing GC
Axe Throwing GC puts a digital twist on a simple idea. You still throw real axes at real wooden targets, but games are projected onto the wood and the scoring happens automatically, so the group can switch between challenges during the session. The range sits inside the Zero Latency venue on Smith Street in Southport, with free parking on site. Every booking starts with a safety briefing from an axe master, which makes it an easy pick for people who have never held an axe. A standard session lasts 60 minutes and your group has a private lane to itself. Each lane fits up to five people, so bigger groups simply spread across more lanes, and a longer 90-minute session is available as an upgrade. The venue pitches itself at bucks and hens groups and at corporate team bonding. Group rates start at 17 players, and larger parties can send an enquiry to have the booking coordinator set things up. A licensed bar offers coffee, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and snacks, with a limit of two alcoholic drinks per player while throwing. Staff can refuse anyone who seems too intoxicated to handle the equipment safely. External catering can be arranged on request with notice. The range welcomes wheelchair users, the minimum age is 14, and anyone under 18 needs an adult with them and a signed waiver. Closed shoes are a must for players.

Frequently asked questions
How old do you have to be to throw?
The minimum age is strictly 14. Anyone under 18 must be supervised by an adult throughout the session and needs a waiver signed by a parent before they can play.
How much is a session and how long does it last?
A 60-minute session is $39 per person, and each player can upgrade to 90 minutes for an extra $30. Group rates are available from 17 players, so mention your numbers when you send an enquiry.
Can we drink while throwing axes?
Yes, within limits: each player can have up to two alcoholic drinks while playing. The on-site licensed bar also serves coffee, soft drinks and snacks, and staff can stop anyone who looks too intoxicated.
Can we bring in food for our group?
Catering comes through an external company on request. Allow at least two days and budget $150 or more, so organise it well before your booking.
Is it accessible, and what should we wear?
Wheelchair users are welcome at the range. All players need fully enclosed shoes to protect their feet, so leave the sandals and open-toed heels at home on the day.

Had a great time doing axe throwing here! So much better than standard axe throwing venues with the interactive side of it. Playing different games when throwing axes made it so much more fun! Would definitely come again…
