About The Morrison Hotel
The Morrison Hotel has stood on Stanley Street in Woolloongabba since 1927, close to the Gabba. Inside are Fiasco's Steakhouse, the Lounge Bar and Circa 27, a whisky and cocktail bar with a library feel. Five spaces can be booked for events. The Piano Room is the private choice, a 1920s-styled lounge for 80 cocktail or 50 banquet, where curtains can be drawn for a boudoir look or opened to show Art Deco wallpaper. The Piano Room also suits work events, with theatre, boardroom and U-shape layouts and a projector, screen and whiteboard available on request. It has a TV, a microphone and a crowd DJ. The Original Fiascos room has stained-glass windows and artwork throughout, seats 60 and has its own bar. The Patio, on the side of the hotel, has a garden feel, weather protection and heaters, seats 50 and opens onto the Lounge Bar, where a section can also be reserved for casual drinks. Functions can be a sit-down dinner with steaks from the restaurant, with a beverage package available, or a cocktail party built on platters ranging from pies and sausage rolls to signature entrées.
