About The Gallery @ The Princess Theatre
The Princess Theatre on Annerley Road in Woolloongabba is a heritage-listed theatre that has been restored as a live music and arts venue. Alongside its main auditorium it has several bars, a café, a courtyard and private event spaces. The Gallery is the most intimate of those spaces. It sits upstairs, reached by the theatre's original staircase, and keeps the period character of the building with arched windows, chandeliers and a mirrored back bar. The room holds up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style party, or 32 around a single long table for a seated lunch or dinner. Custom-made furniture, built-in sound and lighting and a 75-inch screen come with the room, and guests can step out onto the balcony. The theatre pitches The Gallery for engagement parties, small weddings, milestone birthdays and anniversaries. For workplaces it suits end-of-financial-year drinks, Christmas gatherings, product updates and client evenings. Catering is handled in-house, with menus that can be shaped to the style of event and the budget, and the room has a private bar for your group. During the day it also works as a meeting room with a boardroom table, and history tours or creative workshops can be added. For some concerts the theatre offers VIP packages that combine show tickets with a private space for drinks and food before or after the performance. Send an enquiry to check dates and talk through the options with the events team.
