About Australian National Hotel
The Australian National Hotel, known locally as the Aussie Nash, is a pub on Stanley Street in Woolloongabba, directly across the road from the Gabba. It runs a bistro, a sports bar and a bistro bar, and it hosts functions in its own private spaces as well as in the public areas. The National Secret is the main function room and is set up for larger parties. It is a cocktail lounge with a big dance floor, a sound system and a lighting rig with moving heads, a strobe and a fog machine. The room seats up to 150 guests for a meal or takes up to 300 for a standing cocktail event. It has two smoking balconies, its own toilets for function guests, and views back over the stadium and the city skyline. The Courtyard is a smaller, open-air space upstairs, away from the street. It has a private bar and seats 65, and it suits a christening, a going-away party or Friday afternoon drinks with workmates. The pub caters for birthdays, engagements, corporate events and other celebrations, with a range of food and beverage packages to pick from.
