About Bacchus South Bank

Bacchus is a restaurant and bar on the podium level of Rydges South Bank, at the corner of Glenelg and Grey streets. Its focus is private dining and events, alongside a daily buffet breakfast and high tea on Saturdays. There are three ways to book it. The Private Dining Room is a richly finished room with a chandelier over a long table, seating up to 20 guests. The Bacchus Bar is a semi-private lounge in gold, burgundy and marble, suited to cocktails and canapés for up to 50. For a bigger event, the entire restaurant can be taken over for exclusive use with up to 80 guests. Menus for events are tailored to the season and the booking, with curated wine selections to match. Seated dinners suit milestone birthdays and intimate weddings, while the bar works for networking drinks. The events team builds each package with you, and the functions kits are sent on request. Private events can be held seven days a week, fitting around breakfast service and Saturday high tea. With hotel rooms in the same building, guests coming from further away can stay on site. On Saturdays from midday, the dining room also hosts high tea with savouries, sweets, premium teas and sparkling wine. It suits birthdays, bridal showers and baby celebrations, and bookings are essential.
