About Medley
Medley is a cafe and restaurant on the historic Yungaba grounds at the end of Wharf Street, Kangaroo Point, once Queensland's immigration depot. It sits at the edge of the Brisbane River, and its kitchen cooks dishes drawn from cuisines around the world. The Riverview Main Deck and Riverside Deck take up to 80 standing, facing the water with glimpses of the Story Bridge and the Yungaba lawn walkway beside them. Live musicians and gift tables fit easily, and there is a wet-weather plan. The Alfresco Dining Room seats up to 40 with river and garden outlooks, and suits high teas, corporate lunches and milestone birthdays. Book the whole venue and it holds 120 standing or 70 seated, with space for ceremonies, live music and a cocktail bar. Daytime trade runs from breakfast to mid-afternoon, and dinner functions open on request any night for 20 or more. Function menus cover canapés, walk-and-talk meals, share banquets, three-course dinners, platters, dessert buffets and high tea. Drinks come as two-hour packages at three levels, or as a bar tab. Groups under 30 secure a date with a $250 deposit and larger groups with $500. Music is kept to background levels, and licensed trading ends at 10pm. A few parking bays sit beside the restaurant, and the Holman Street ferry terminal is a short walk away.

Food
Seated groups can choose three courses, a shared banquet or a tailored menu. High tea brings finger sandwiches, blini, scones and petit fours, and gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options are marked.
Beverages
Bar tabs can also be set up, and individual bar cards are available for groups of up to 30. Tea and coffee or bottomless prosecco and mimosas can be added to high tea.

How many guests can Medley host?
The two riverside decks take up to 80 standing, the Alfresco Dining Room seats up to 40, and whole-venue hire holds 120 standing or 70 seated. Groups of 13 to 30 are arranged by enquiry, and over 30 usually means a whole-venue booking.
What do function packages cost?
High tea is $60 per person for at least 25 guests. Canapés are $9 each for classic and $12 for premium, with a minimum of eight, and walk-and-talk meals add $25 per person. Shared platters are $100 to $150 each, a platter of 30 sliders or bao is $450, and a dessert buffet is $16 per person.
What drinks packages are available?
The Basic package is $48 per person for two hours, the Classic $60 with basic spirits, and the Premium $70 with premium spirits. Extra hours cost $15, $20 or $25 per person respectively, and bar tabs are also possible.
Can we hold an evening function?
Yes. Medley trades for breakfast and lunch, but dinner can be booked any night for groups of 20 or more. Last drinks are ordered by 9.50pm and service ends at 10pm.
Can we bring a cake and decorations?
Yes. A cakeage fee of $5.50 per person covers storing, presenting, cutting and plating the cake. Decorations are welcome as long as there is no confetti and nothing is fixed to the walls.
