About Marta Bellydance
Marta Bellydance is the stage name of Marta, a belly dancer who performs Egyptian-style shows at weddings, birthdays and corporate events in Brisbane. She began dancing at seven alongside her mother and sisters and has more than two decades in dance behind her. A typical show moves through several moods. Marta often enters with golden Isis wings, slows the room with a gentle taqsim and finishes with a quick-fire drum solo that has guests clapping along. She reads the crowd as she goes, and at livelier events she joins guests on the dance floor once the set is done. Her Brisbane bookings include a 40th birthday dinner, an 18th birthday in a Teneriffe penthouse, a surprise party at a private home where she waited outside before making her entrance, a university alumni gala and a performance on the stage of Brisbane City Hall. She has also danced alongside live Arabic singers. Marta keeps a large wardrobe of costumes in different colours and styles, so the look can be chosen to suit the theme of your event.
