About Sea La Vie Escapes
Sea La Vie Escapes runs one boat for one group at a time on Moreton Bay, so nobody shares the deck with strangers. The vessel is an Axopar 24 hard-top in commercial survey, carrying up to seven guests for a day of about six hours. Jeremy Wolff owns it and skippers it himself, which makes him the only crew aboard. Trained in conservation biology and with more than ten years on these waters, Jeremy keeps no set route. He reads the wind, tide and light that morning, then chooses a part of the bay to suit. That might mean the Tangalooma Wrecks and the sand hills of Moreton Island, or the Amity Banks and North Stradbroke Island on another day. Expect snorkelling, swimming off the boat, a wander on a sandbar that vanishes when the water returns, and a lookout for dolphins and turtles, which are wild and never promised. Lunch is part of the fare: a French-inspired spread of cured meats, smoked salmon, fruit and bakery pastries, usually set out on the sand. Champagne on arrival, juices, soft drinks and water are covered too, along with snorkelling equipment in your group's sizes, towels and fuel. You only need swimwear, sunscreen, a hat and a light jacket. Birthdays and corporate days both feature among the occasions the operator names, and the seven-guest limit suits a close circle rather than a big crowd. Boarding is at the New Farm Powerhouse pontoon or Manly Boat Harbour, with Scarborough Harbour on the Redcliffe peninsula possible by arrangement. To check a date, send an enquiry.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests can come aboard?
Seven is the limit under the boat's commercial survey, and children count towards that number. Smaller groups pay a lower whole-boat rate, with separate prices for two guests and for up to four.
Will we share the boat with another group?
No. Each charter is a single booking, so the Axopar carries only your guests and Captain Jeremy. Beaches and sandbars stay public, so he chooses a quiet spot for the tide and conditions on your date.
Where do charters leave from?
The usual choices are the Powerhouse pontoon at New Farm, which adds a run down the Brisbane River, and Manly Boat Harbour, with guests joining at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron on the Esplanade. Scarborough Harbour needs to be arranged in advance.
What food and drinks are included?
The price covers a French-inspired picnic of cured meats, smoked salmon, seasonal fruit and pastries, plus a glass of champagne on arrival, organic juices, soft drinks and water. Tell Jeremy when booking if you want to bring anything extra.
What happens if the weather is poor?
If Jeremy calls off the trip for weather or safety before departure, you can pick another agreed date or take a full refund. A charter that goes ahead safely in less than ideal conditions is not refunded.
