About Aquarius Charters
Aquarius Charters takes groups out on the Brisbane River aboard a 14.5-metre catamaran kept at Rivergate Marina in Murarrie. Every cruise is a private hire of the whole boat, running for three hours and suiting groups of 10 to 60 guests. The boat is split into three areas. Inside is a lounge styled like a cigar bar with a fully stocked bar, then there is a shaded bow at the front and a sundeck on the roof. Most of the boat is under cover, so a wet day does not end the party. Music plays through a Bose system from your own phone over Bluetooth, or the team can arrange a DJ or musician. Food comes from the onboard commercial kitchen, serving canapés, sliders, cheese and antipasto boards or a menu built for your event, and dietary needs are catered for. For Christmas functions, full roasts come through a partner caterer. Outside catering and BYO alcohol are not allowed, but a celebration cake is welcome and the crew will cut and serve it. Drinks run on a bar tab or guests pay as they go. The team names birthdays, hens and bucks parties, corporate events, Christmas functions and elopement weddings as its main charters, and its gallery shows a 21st on board. Cruises run in morning, lunch, sunset and evening slots, and an event coordinator helps with planning, decorations and pick-up points along the river.

How many guests can Aquarius Charters take?
Aquarius Charters takes groups of 10 to 60 guests, and your group has the whole boat to itself for the three-hour cruise.
Can we bring our own drinks or food on Aquarius Charters?
No. The boat is a licensed venue, so BYO alcohol is not permitted and outside catering is not allowed. Food and drinks come from the onboard kitchen and bar, though you are welcome to bring a celebration cake, which the crew will slice and serve.
What cruise times does Aquarius Charters offer?
There are four regular three-hour slots: a morning cruise, a lunch cruise, a sunset cruise and an evening party cruise. Custom times can be requested when you enquire.
Can we play our own music or book a DJ?
Yes. Guests can connect their own music to the Bose sound system over Bluetooth or send a playlist ahead, and the team can recommend and book a DJ or acoustic musician for your cruise.
Can we decorate the boat for a birthday or hens party?
Yes, decorations are welcome. Set-up is usually done at Rivergate Marina before you sail, and if another charter runs before yours, decorating may need to happen at the start of your cruise time.
