About Waters Edge Weddings & Events
Waters Edge Weddings & Events occupies the upper floor of Portside Wharf at Hamilton, above the Dendy Cinema, looking out over the Brisbane River. The venue covers about 1,500 square metres, and The Fresh Collective is its exclusive caterer. The space splits into two rooms divided by a soundproof wall. The Riverview Room holds 450 for cocktails or 180 seated, the Viewing Room 150 or 80, and together the full venue reaches 750 standing or 300 at tables. A private balcony runs along the river side with views back to the city, and it is used for pre-dinner drinks, ceremonies and photos. Inside, the rooms have themed lighting, a dance area and a neutral fit-out that takes styling well. Wedding packages include a coordinator, furniture, linen and glassware, a PA with lectern and microphone, printed seating plans and a two-hour bump-in and out. Riverside ceremonies cost $1,650 and are only offered with a reception booking. Corporate events use the in-house projector, lectern and microphone, with breakfast, conference and lunch menus as well as cocktail packages. Around 300 undercover car parks on site make larger events easier to manage.

Who does the catering?
The Fresh Collective is the exclusive caterer, offering seated two and three course menus, shared tables, canapés and grazing stations. Menus mark vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free dishes.
How much do wedding packages cost?
A two-course wedding lunch with a premium beverage package starts at $132 per person Monday to Thursday and $140.80 Friday to Sunday. Two-course dinner packages start at $148.50 per person Monday to Thursday.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes. There are about 300 undercover car parks on site, plus overflow and street parking, and the venue is wheelchair friendly.
What deposit is needed to confirm a booking?
Expect a deposit equal to the venue hire fee or a fifth of the confirmed booking total, whichever is higher. An event is not confirmed until the deposit has been paid.
