About Waterloo Bay Hotel
The Waterloo Bay Hotel is a two-storey corner pub on Berrima Street in Wynnum, near Wynnum Central station and a few streets back from the bay. Alongside its restaurant and beer garden it has a sports bar, a gaming lounge, a bottle shop and motel rooms. Functions run in two main spaces. Oyster Point is the open-air part of the beer garden, set on grass under umbrellas and suited to both daytime and evening gatherings. Oyster Point takes up to 400 guests standing or 220 seated. Hepburns Bar is a heritage-listed room with its own fully stocked bar and pool tables, holding up to 180 for a cocktail party or 100 seated. The kitchen caters every function. Choose from platters of sushi, party pies, sliders, pizzas and prawns, canapé packages with four items per guest, or a two- or three-course group banquet with chicken or slow-roasted beef. Drinks can run on consumption from the full wine list, or you can set up a bar tab with selected drinks. The team can also put together a bespoke beverage package. Outdoor bookings carry a wet weather caveat. Standby marquees can be hired at your cost, or the team will try to move the event to a sheltered area inside, though that cannot be guaranteed.
How late can an outdoor function run?
The hotel operates under noise conditions on its licence, so events in outdoor areas move inside the venue from 11pm.
