About The Hibiscus Room @ Belmont Services Bowls Club

Belmont Services Bowls Club is a volunteer-run community sports club on the corner of Thorne and Narracott Streets in Carina. Alongside its greens and public bar, it hires out a large function hall called the Hibiscus Room. The Hibiscus Room is air-conditioned and holds up to 200 guests. Tables and chairs are arranged to suit each booking, from long banquet rows to round tables, and the room is booked for your group alone, by day or by night. At one end sits a stage, and the floor is 142 square metres of parquetry that musicians and dance groups rate for its sound. Guests have access to the bathrooms and the club bar, and smaller groups can instead reserve an area of the bar itself. Food is flexible. Souvlaki Time, the Greek kitchen on site, may be able to cater, or you can bring an outside caterer or your own food. A small annex can hold supplies and a fridge keeps the cake cold, though the commercial kitchen itself is not available to hirers. All drinks come from the club bar, either on a bar tab or as a cash bar, with tea and coffee available for an extra charge. You can decorate or bring in a stylist before the event at no cost, but glitter and confetti are not allowed. The room comes with Bluetooth audio, Wi-Fi, a lectern, a projector and screen, and cordless microphones at no charge. There are 64 parking spaces on site, and barefoot bowls can be added to a function.
