About Wynnum Golf Club
Wynnum Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course on Stradbroke Avenue in Wynnum, on Brisbane's bayside. Its federation-style clubhouse, with wide verandahs and views across the course, doubles as a function and wedding venue. The function room seats 150 or holds up to 250 for a cocktail-style event. It has a private bar, a 6m by 6m dance floor, polished timber floors, air conditioning and dimmable lighting, and large windows look out to the gardens. Outside, a wrap-around verandah strung with fairy lights suits pre-dinner drinks and canapés, and the balconies overlook the greens and lake. Wedding ceremonies can be held on the balcony or out on the putting green. Celebrations on offer include birthdays, anniversaries, school formals and Christmas parties, as well as conferences and corporate golf days. A breakout room handles meetings, with catering from breakfast to afternoon tea. Wedding packages run from $130 per person for a cocktail reception with canapés, two hot fork dishes, dessert and a four-hour beverage package. Buffet, two-course and four-course packages are also offered, and every package can be adjusted. Audio-visual gear includes a lectern, wireless microphones, a sound system and a projector. What do wedding packages cost?
Packages start at $130 per person for a cocktail reception, with the Silver buffet at $140, the Gold two-course at $170 and the intimate four-course at $195 for up to 50 guests. Venue inclusions are $600 on a weekday or $850 on a weekend.
Can we hold the ceremony on site?
Yes. A balcony ceremony overlooking the greens and lake is $200 and also works as the wet-weather option, while a ceremony on the putting green is $450.
What drinks are included?
The standard four-hour package covers tap beer, house wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee. A platinum upgrade is $35 per person, and each extra hour beyond four costs $10 per person on the standard package or $15 on platinum.
What time does a wedding finish?
Last drinks are called at 11.30pm and guests leave by 11.45pm. Vendors can start setting up from 10am, and ceremonies can begin from 2pm.
