About The Plough Inn
The Plough Inn is a heritage-listed pub on Stanley Street Plaza in South Brisbane, right inside the South Bank Parklands. From its verandas and deck you look across the lagoon and gardens to the city skyline, and South Bank train station is a short walk away. Functions are spread across five spaces. Upstairs in the original building, the Arbour Bar and its veranda have their own private bar and hold about 100 for cocktails or 60 seated, while the Boardroom next door seats 20 for a private dinner or meeting. Combine those two rooms and you have space for 110 standing or 80 seated. The Deck has a private bar and space for 175 cocktail guests or 100 seated, and the Banksia Lounge suits mid-sized groups of up to 70. For bigger events the whole of Level 1 can be booked exclusively for about 300, and full-venue takeovers are on offer too. Most spaces have AV, which helps with speeches, slideshows and presentations. Food runs from canapés and sliders sold per piece to share platters, pizza slabs, buffet lunches and grazing tables. Drinks are handled through timed packages or a bar tab you set the limit on. Send an enquiry to check dates and talk through which space suits your numbers.

Extremely comfortable place to sit and enjoy your beer and food. Loved the soft music. The hum of conversation and a slight boisterous crowd gives it a nice character. What I love is not the food but the beer. The beer…

I had the pork rib special on Monday. The portion was massive and a good value at $28. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious. However, I don't think it would be worth the usual $57. The chips should be ser…
