About The Garden Room @ Corinda Tavern
Corinda Tavern is a local pub on Oxley Road in Corinda, in Brisbane's western suburbs. Alongside its restaurant, bar and alfresco terrace it runs three spaces for private events, and the Garden Room is the one set aside as its own function room. The Garden Room mixes a rustic look with modern finishes, with leafy green walls, artificial turf underfoot and a covered ceiling. It takes up to 50 guests for a cocktail party or 40 at tables for a sit-down meal. The room is air-conditioned and has its own sound system and a 65-inch TV for speeches, slideshows or a playlist. Smaller groups can also look at the beer garden, which suits 45 standing, or the restaurant, which seats up to 75. Food comes from the pub kitchen. Canapé packages offer six, nine or twelve items mixing meat, seafood and vegetarian bites, and there are platters, pizza slabs and set menus such as a sportsman's lunch or a shared family-style spread. Drinks are served from the tavern's bar, and no outside food or drinks are allowed apart from a celebration cake. The functions team confirms the booking once the form and deposit are in, and final numbers are locked in two weeks before the day.

Yes. For $1 per person the team stores, cuts and serves the cake on a platter, and for $4 per person it is plated with strawberries and cream. You can also serve it yourself at no charge with the knife, plates and spoons provided.
