About Sharla Park
Sharla Park is a country wedding venue on a 31-acre property on Maitland Road in Burpengary East. It doubles as a working equestrian centre, so guests share the view of a large lake and bushland with the resident horses. Ceremonies are usually held on the jetty that reaches out over the lake, with a level lawn in front for seating and a slope behind for anyone who prefers to stand. Other spots around the property can be used too, and there is a covered wet-weather option that keeps the lake in view. Receptions take place in a 21 by 10 metre marquee on a concrete floor, with walls that can be rolled up or kept closed. It seats from 40 up to 140 guests with room left for a dance floor and buffet tables, set with long timber tables or rounds and cross-back chairs. Drinks are BYO. You stock the fridge in the custom silo bar a short walk from the marquee, and the venue's bar staff serve them, with all glassware supplied. Couples bring in their own caterer, who gets power, water and a covered preparation area. Styling can be done by the in-house team, by your own stylist or by friends, and a venue coordinator looks after the day. Music has to stop at 10pm, with everyone off the property by 10.30pm. Site visits are by appointment only, so send an enquiry to arrange one or to check a date.

How many guests can Sharla Park seat?
The reception marquee seats from 40 up to 140 guests, with space for a dance floor and buffet tables. The jetty ceremony set-up comes with 32 chairs, and more can be arranged.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes, Sharla Park is BYO. You supply the drinks and stock the silo bar fridge, and the venue's bar staff serve them with glassware included in every package.
Do we organise our own catering?
Yes. Your caterer brings the food, and the venue provides an undercover preparation area along with power and water for caterers and other suppliers.
What time does the reception finish?
All music must end by 10pm, and guests and suppliers need to be off the property by 10.30pm because of local council rules and the neighbouring properties.
Can we set up the day before?
If no event is booked the previous day, you can come in the day before to set up or drop off equipment and drinks. Collection the morning after is by appointment.
