About Bramble Bay Bowls Club
Bramble Bay Bowls Club stands on the corner of Hornibrook Esplanade and Victoria Avenue at Woody Point, facing the water on the Redcliffe peninsula. It is a working lawn bowls club with a bar and a restaurant, and it hosts private functions across several rooms and an outdoor deck. Four spaces can be booked. The Bay View Room takes up to 50 guests with an outlook across the bay, while the Greens View Room seats up to 80 overlooking the bowling greens, with room for a dance floor or a presentation set-up. The Alfresco runs along the open edge of the club and holds up to 100 guests, set up for cocktails or seated dining with the bar and food service close by. A boardroom with a large table, a flat-screen display, a projector, a whiteboard and wifi covers meetings and workshops. Barefoot bowls is a big part of the appeal for groups. Alongside two competition greens there is a separate barefoot green, so a work afternoon or a birthday can include a social game before the food comes out. Function catering is built on share platters of finger food such as fish pieces, spring rolls, dim sims, sausage rolls, calamari, samosas, falafel and croquettes, all served with chips. Platters range from $135 for a small group to $360 for the nine-item mixed selection, and tea and coffee can be added at extra cost. Drinks are served from the club bar. Great food. Choice of Chinese or Australian meals. I had honey chicken and fried Rice, $17 less if you are a member. On Sundays they have a special, 2 meals and a drink $26. Free parking.
