About Chatswood Hills Tavern
Chatswood Hills Tavern is a local pub at the junction of Chatswood Road and Magellan Road in Springwood. It has no single dedicated function room, so groups are hosted in one of three areas of the tavern. The Sports Bar is the main function area, with plenty of seating, a designated smoking area and direct bar access. It holds up to 150 people standing and can be hired privately or with an area roped off inside the public bar. The Terrace is a brighter, more secluded corner for cocktail-style gatherings, taking up to 60 standing or 50 seated, with the bar a few steps away. The Bistro suits sit-down meals and set menus for both small and large groups. For seated events of 30 or more, an alternate-drop set menu runs at $50 per person for two courses or $65 for three. Choices include pepper calamari, mushroom arancini, slow-cooked lamb shoulder and Atlantic salmon, with sticky date pudding or brownie to finish. For stand-up parties, platters each serving 12 to 15 people cover antipasto, cheese, sliders, karaage chicken, Aussie party food and Asian snacks. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, apart from a celebration cake. A $200 deposit secures the date and comes off the final bill, and full payment is due a week out. Minimum spends apply to each area, so send an enquiry with your date and numbers for a quote.
