About Rich & Rare
Rich & Rare is a steak and seafood restaurant in the Garden Pavilion of West Village at 97 Boundary Street, West End. Guests come in past a dry-ageing display of beef and a wall of wine, and the whole restaurant sits on one level. The interior feels like a private dining club, with timber, leather and moody lighting balanced by large windows and natural light. A marble bar looks out through floor-to-ceiling glass onto Boundary Street, and a sunlit outdoor area catches the breeze for alfresco dining. For functions there are five options. The private dining room seats 10 or holds 16 for canapés, the bar takes 15 to 20 seated or 35 standing, and the outdoor area suits 60 seated or 75 for a cocktail party. Larger groups can take half the venue for 65 to 70 seated or 80 standing, or the whole restaurant for 130 seated or 155 cocktail-style. Furniture layouts are flexible and set to suit each event. The kitchen's canapé packages lean on aged beef, seafood, farmhouse cheese and garden vegetables, and the team can design a bespoke menu for a larger booking. Drinks can be a set package, on consumption, or a tailored list with cocktails from the bar.
