About Portside Social
Portside Social is a gastropub at Portside Wharf in Hamilton, serving modern takes on pub favourites along with cocktails and live entertainment. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are on the everyday menu, and group dining and functions are a specialty. Function areas include the Dining Lounge for seated events, the Courtyard and two external patios. The whole venue can also be booked exclusively, using both indoor and outdoor spaces, for groups from 10 up to 200 guests. Food comes in three shared packages. The Social covers wings, calamari, corn ribs, croquettes and nachos, the Portside Experience adds sliders, meatballs, arancini and chicken skewers, and the Full Experience brings loaded nachos, steak skewers and BBQ pork ribs. Extras such as additional sliders, chips and churros can be added per person. Beverage packages are offered to groups of 20 or more alongside a food package, with signature cocktails on arrival and spirit or premium beer upgrades. How many guests can Portside Social host?
Groups of 10 to 200. Smaller parties can take the Dining Lounge, the Courtyard or one of two patios, and the full venue can be booked exclusively for bigger events.
What are the food packages?
There are three: The Social at $49 per person, the Portside Experience at $65 per person and the Full Experience at $89 per person. Each is a shared spread of dishes such as wings, sliders, arancini, skewers and ribs.
Do I need a food package to get a drinks package?
Yes. Beverage packages are available for groups of 20 or more and must be paired with one of the food packages.
How much are the drinks packages?
The house package is $45 per person for 1.5 hours, $55 for two hours and $75 for three. The premium package is $55, $70 or $95, and a signature cocktail on arrival adds $18 per person.
Are there extra charges on public holidays?
Yes. A 15% surcharge applies to function packages on public holidays.
