About Moda Restaurant
Moda Restaurant is a Spanish tapas and grill restaurant in The Barracks on Petrie Terrace, a short walk from Caxton Street. Its function offer covers private dining, corporate events, celebrations and weddings, with an events team to plan each booking. The Wine Room is the private space, a long room lined with wine racks under iron chandeliers. A booking there includes dedicated waitstaff, a handheld microphone and the room to yourselves, which suits a family dinner, an anniversary or a work lunch. For bigger groups the whole restaurant can be booked for sole use, holding up to 200 guests cocktail-style or 150 seated. A typical evening starts with canapés and drinks on the alfresco terrace and in the Wine Room, then moves into the main dining room with its brick walls, timber trusses and green banquettes. The food is share-style and chosen by the chef for each table. Sit-down options run from the tapas banquet at $69 per person up to the full Javier's Table Experience with tomahawk, and canapé menus range from a light selection with a fork dish to a premium list with a live action station such as paella. Drinks can be run as a Moda or Premium package lasting three to five and a half hours, with cocktails as an add-on, or charged on consumption from the menu. The private dining set-up includes a 70-inch screen, a Bose sound system with zoned audio and HDMI connections for presentations. Guests also get two hours of validated parking in The Barracks. Send an enquiry through Party Hero to check dates and minimum spends for each space.
