About Brook Hotel

The Brook Hotel is a local pub on Osborne Road in Mitchelton, in Brisbane's north-west. It has a bistro, a sports bar and a beer garden built around a 60-year-old Moreton Bay fig, and offers four spaces for private functions. The Fig Tree Garden sits right under the fig and is split into three sections. Sections one and two take 80 cocktail-style each or 160 together, and section three holds 60, with a mix of high bar tables and bench seating. Bowman Court is set inside the bistro among art deco styled interiors. It seats 30 or takes 50 for a cocktail party, and suits a smaller private or work function. Grovely Terrace is an alfresco area looking over Kedron Brook, in two sections that can be combined for 80 standing or 60 seated. A boardroom for 16 is also available for meetings. The function menu covers hot, cold, substantial and sweet canapés, grazing stations, slider and skewer platters, plated pub mains and a Grill House barbecue banquet served down the table. Cakes can be brought in with notice. A minimum spend of $50 per adult applies, and a $1,000 deposit secures the space, which counts towards food or a bar tab. Bookings run for four hours, with music supplied by the pub.
