About Edinburgh Castle Hotel Kedron
The Edinburgh Castle Hotel is a long-standing local pub at 421 Gympie Road in Kedron, on Brisbane's northside. Alongside its bistro and sports bar, it keeps a dedicated room set aside for private functions. The function room is sized for groups from small to large. It holds 80 to 100 guests for a cocktail party, or 60 seated at tables for a meal, and it has its own bar service. The pub pitches the room at birthday parties, engagements, Christmas parties and corporate gatherings, as well as business meetings. Room hire is charged by time, from a single hour up to a full eight-hour block. Food runs from shared platters to plated set menus. Cold platters cover dips, antipasto, sandwiches, fruit and desserts, while hot platters bring sliders, mini pies, arancini and other finger food, and the set menu offers two or three courses with alternate-drop mains. For drinks, hosts can run an open bar that is settled at the end, set a dollar limit on a tab, or let guests buy their own. A projector and screen with HDMI input suit presentations, and the team can play a background playlist or you can plug in your own. Cakes are welcome, and the venue can arrange balloons, flowers and centrepieces or set up decorations you bring. Send an enquiry to check dates and build a package.

Great pub with great people and service. Charlotte, Janelle and Jacinta are always happy to serve and go out of there way to ensure a good time is had as well as all the other bar staff.

Had the steak and mash dinner tonight and it was absolutely perfect. The steak was cooked medium rare to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of flavour. I have no teeth, and the steak literally melted in my mouth, which…
