About Mr Mista
Mr Mista is a cocktail bar and kitchen at 757 Ann Street in Fortitude Valley, styled on an L.A. lounge with Asian-influenced share plates. The room is dark and plush, with green velvet booths, a long bar and a dance floor. Functions range from one booth to exclusive use of the whole venue. Combining the velvet lounge, the booths, the bar and the main dining room, it fits up to 200 guests for a cocktail event or 80 for a seated dinner. Above the dance floor, the VIP Loft Booth sits on a mezzanine looking over the bar. It takes up to 30 guests and gives a group its own corner to dance without leaving the party. Shared banquets start at $62 per person, with a larger banquet at $87, and any group of eight or more dines from one of them. The kitchen will adjust for dietary needs where it can. For drinks, there are bottle service booths and beverage packages built around spirits, cocktails and Champagne. Resident DJs play from 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights at no extra cost, and the venue has cordless microphones, a TV behind the bar and a projector screen. The venue sets a pre-paid minimum spend for each function based on the date and length of the event. You can bring your own decorations and cake, and the team will cut and serve it without a fee.

Late-night booths carry a minimum spend: $400 for a single booth of 3 to 10, and $800 for a double booth of 10 to 20 or the VIP Loft Booth of up to 30.

Menu choices are confirmed at least 10 days before the function.

Beverage packages run from $650 for a group of 6 to 10, up to $2,000 for a package in the VIP booth with a jeroboam of vodka, cocktails and Champagne.

How many people can Mr Mista hold for a private function?
The whole venue takes up to 200 guests for a cocktail-style event or up to 80 for a seated dinner. Smaller groups can book a single booth, a double booth or the VIP Loft Booth.
What does food cost for a group?
Groups of eight or more dine from a shared banquet menu. The Hollywood Premiere banquet is $62 per person and the Red Carpet banquet is $87 per person.
Is there a minimum spend?
Yes. Each function has a pre-paid minimum spend set by management according to the date and length of the event, and a 10% deposit (or $200, whichever is more) confirms the booking.
Can we have a DJ or use a microphone?
Resident DJs play from 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights, included in the minimum spend. At other times a DJ can be booked for $150 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and the venue has two cordless microphones, a TV and a projector screen.
Can we bring decorations and a cake?
Yes, you can decorate the venue yourself, but anything large needs to be checked first and everything must be packed away by 10pm. The team will cut and serve your cake for free.
