About Elm House
Elm House is a small wedding venue at 1956 Mount Glorious Road, Mount Glorious, in the rainforest that borders D'Aguilar National Park. It stands on Jinibara Country and is run by Laura and Gav, whose family lives on the property. The main building is a timber hall with tall gothic windows looking into the forest. A banquet table here seats up to 50 guests, and two fireside lounges with couches and a piano give people somewhere warm to gather. Outside, a large deck strung with festoon lights opens onto rainforest lawns, gardens and an arbour courtyard. Ceremonies can be held indoors or out, and the grounds double as the setting for photos. The Wedding Weekend gives couples sole use of the venue across three days, from the afternoon before the wedding until late morning the day after. It includes two nights in the Elm House Studio, a two-storey cabin with a fireplace and clawfoot bath, right beside the hall. Catering and drinks are BYO, so you choose your own caterer and budget. The bar has bench space and a large fridge, and the venue supplies timber tables, chairs, vintage glassware and teacups for 50, plus grazing, cake, signing and gift tables. A venue manager stays on site throughout, and a PA system with a microphone covers speeches and music. There is wheelchair access, an all-access toilet, WiFi and parking on site, and weekday elopements for up to 25 guests are also offered.
