About Dalgety Public House
Dalgety Public House is a laid-back local on Macquarie Street in Teneriffe, run by three owners with long careers in Brisbane hospitality. It pours plenty of beer, wine and cocktails, serves modern takes on pub classics and welcomes dogs, with a bowl on the menu just for them. There are three ways to book a function, and none of them comes with a venue hire fee. The Deck is the open-air option, lit with festoon lights and furnished with high bar tables and separate private tables, holding 40 seated or 70 for cocktails. The Bar Room is quieter and more tucked away, bright in the daytime and softly lit at night. It seats 35 or holds 60 standing, which suits a long lunch, a sit-down dinner or a smaller birthday. For a bigger occasion the whole pub can be taken over, indoors and outdoors together, for up to 95 seated or 150 standing. The venue promotes full takeovers for weddings, large parties and corporate events. Function food ranges from share platters and grazing tables to plated two or three course meals. Drinks can run as a package, a bar tab or a cash bar, and bookings are usually four or seven hours.
