About Banshees Bar & Artspace
Banshees Bar & Artspace is an independent live music bar and gallery on Brisbane Street in Ipswich Central. It is close to the Nicholas Street Precinct and an easy walk from Ipswich station, with street parking along Brisbane and Limestone Streets. The venue is one long room with a bar, a stage roughly three and a half metres wide and local artwork hung on the walls. It holds up to 90 standing or 60 seated, and the team runs it as an inclusive space where everyone is welcome. For a private party, the whole bar can be booked on a weekend for $300, which covers six hours. Bookings suit groups of roughly 30 to 80 guests, and final numbers are locked in during the week before the event. A sound engineer and the house PA come with the booking. You can bring a band, a DJ or simply a playlist from Spotify or YouTube, and a projector can be set up if you ask for it. Karaoke with a host can be added for $175. The stage is already kitted out with a drum kit, a guitar cab, a digital piano and a 24-channel desk, so live acts need very little extra gear.
