About Springfield Tavern
Springfield Tavern stands on the corner of Springfield Parkway and Commercial Drive in Springfield. It is a modern local with a family bistro, a sports bar, a gaming lounge and a large outdoor area, and it takes bookings for social celebrations and corporate gatherings. There are three spaces for functions. The private Function Room is an open space for smaller events and meetings, and it can be arranged in a U shape, boardroom or classroom style, or set for dining. The Sports Bar works for larger events and can be configured to suit, with a projector, cordless microphone and sound system. The Bistro Terrace is an open area that suits bigger groups and dinners. Room hire is free when you order food. The kitchen makes share platters that each feed about 10 to 12 people, from tapas and antipasto to seafood and dessert, along with an alternate-drop menu for seated groups of 20 or more at $25 per person for a main, $35 for two courses or $40 for three. Extras include balloon packages, table linen and a self-serve tea and coffee station. A $500 deposit secures a booking, final numbers and menus are due 10 days before, and functions with 100 or more guests need security.

Is there a room hire fee?
Room hire is free when you order food. The tavern may charge a hire fee at the manager's discretion, for example when no food or bar tab is purchased.
What food can we order for a function?
Share platters such as sandwiches, tapas, antipasto, chicken and seafood each serve about 10 to 12 people. Seated groups of 20 or more can choose the alternate-drop menu at $25 per person for a main, $35 for two courses or $40 for three.
Which spaces can we book?
There are three: a private Function Room for smaller events and meetings, the Sports Bar for larger events, and the Bistro Terrace for bigger groups and dinners.
Is AV available for presentations?
Yes. The Sports Bar has a projector, cordless microphone and sound system, and the Function Room can be set up boardroom, classroom or U-shape style for meetings.
What deposit is needed to book?
A $500 deposit is due within seven days of the initial booking, and it becomes non-refundable four weeks before the event. Final numbers, room setup and catering are confirmed 10 days out, with the balance paid seven days before.
