About Babylon Brisbane
Babylon Brisbane is a Middle Eastern restaurant and riverside bar at 145 Eagle Street, stepping down three levels to the Brisbane River with views across to the Story Bridge. The kitchen cooks Levantine share plates over charcoal and open flame, and a dedicated events team looks after private functions. Inside the restaurant, Kasr is a gold-finished private dining room for 14, and the two Esagila rooms seat 20 each or 40 when joined for a set menu. Out in Babylon Gardens, the two-tier terrace bar, Ishtaar is a covered outdoor area seating 32. Also in the Gardens, Apsu on the lower deck takes 80 standing, or 40 when only half is booked, while Nabu on the main level holds 80 for cocktail-style events and Enki takes 40 a little away from the busiest areas. Apsu, Nabu and Enki combine for 200, and the whole of Babylon Gardens can be taken over for up to 400 standing with its own bar and bathrooms. Function food starts with canapés at $6.25 a piece and substantial items at $13, with grazing tables from $15 per person served alongside them. Seated groups in the restaurant rooms or Ishtaar can choose the Taste set menu at $90 per person or the Deluxe at $110, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free needs are catered for. Drinks packages run for two, three or four hours across three tiers, from $50 per person for two hours on the Signature list to $140 for four hours on the Luxury list. A bar tab with a set limit, a cash bar, arrival spritzes and spirit upgrades are also available. A 10% surcharge applies to food and drinks on Sundays and 15% on public holidays. Celebration cakes are welcome with no cakeage fee, and the Riverside ferry terminal is a short walk away; send an enquiry to check dates and spaces.
