About Albion Hotel
The Albion Hotel on Sandgate Road was trading before the suburb around it grew up, and it still works as the local for much of Albion. Today it pairs pub drinks and sport with an Italian kitchen called Signor Fox. The Wine Room sits just off the Lounge Bar and splits into two adjoining areas. It seats 30, takes 60 for cocktails or 50 theatre style, and suits private dinners, work functions and smaller celebrations. The Lounge Bar is pitched at birthdays, hens and bucks nights and sports viewing parties. It holds 50 standing or 30 seated, with direct bar service, large screens for games or slideshows and a private smoking area next door. Outside, the Beer Garden takes up to 150 for a cocktail party under umbrellas, while the canopied Courtyard seats 80 or holds 150 standing. The restaurant has its own bar and can open onto the Courtyard, seating 30 in half the room or 50 across the whole space. Food runs from hot and cold canapés and grazing platters to two and three course alternate-drop dinners and an eight-course banquet. Groups of at least 20 can take a drinks package, or you can set up a bar tab or let guests buy their own. Extras include pizza-making and cocktail masterclasses, roving oysters and a gelato cart. A $200 deposit and a minimum spend apply to each space, so send an enquiry to confirm what applies to your date.

Albion is always good but Signor Fox has been excellent recently. The lasagna is unreal. Beer-battered fish and chips was brilliant with a perfect simple salad on the side, I wish more places would have their side salads…
