Birthday Party Venues in Brisbane's Eastern Suburbs & Bayside

Choosing the Right Birthday Party Venue

East of the river, birthday options split three ways: pubs along Old Cleveland and Creek Roads, community bowls clubs with halls and greens, and a couple of more polished rooms at Hawthorne and Wynnum. The suburb usually follows from the style of party you want.

How the east and bayside suburbs compare for a birthday:

Camp Hill and Carindale for pub parties: Camp Hill Hotel has an exclusive Backyard Bar, while Carindale Hotel's deck and terrace take up to 170.
Carina for a big hall: The Hibiscus Room @ Belmont Services Bowls Club holds 200, with a stage and outside caterers allowed.
Norman Park for a casual club party: the Function Room at Norman Park Sports & Community Club, from $400 room hire, faces the greens.
Hawthorne for a styled, smaller gathering: Merci Event Space is a Hamptons-style upstairs venue for up to 60.
Wynnum for a bayside clubhouse: Wynnum Golf Club has a verandah over the course and room for 250 cocktail-style.

Budget tends to rise as you move from the bowls clubs to the golf club, so the area covers a casual 21st as well as a dressy 50th.
