About The Station Brisbane
The Station Brisbane is a blank-canvas event space, gallery and photo studio on School Street in Fortitude Valley, close to where the Valley runs into Spring Hill. The building is a restored 1950s warehouse that began life as a service station, and its old "We Never Close" sign is still on site. Inside there are exposed beams, high ceilings and textured brick across roughly 115 square metres, all of it air-conditioned. The room holds up to 100 guests standing or 50 seated, and workshop layouts suit 20 to 30 people. Hire covers a large fridge and a separate drinks fridge, folding tables and chairs (four tables and 20 chairs), Wi-Fi, gallery rails for hanging art and a separate toilet block. A small PA or Bluetooth speaker with two wireless microphones is available on request, and the team can add mood and party lighting, extra seating, decor, props and party hire. There is no kitchen, so caterers or grazing tables need to be organised ahead of the day, and a cleaning fee is added to any event with food or BYO. Drinks are BYO only and must be cans rather than glass, with no alcohol sold on site and everything consumed indoors. Bookings are sold in blocks: a four-hour half day, an eight-hour full day or an overnight hire with pack-down the following morning. Music finishes at 10pm and the space must be empty by 10.30pm. The team also helps style and plan events, so send an enquiry to talk through your ideas.

Frequently asked questions
How many guests fit in The Station?
The room is roughly 115 square metres and takes up to 100 people standing or 50 seated. Workshop layouts suit around 20 to 30.
How much does it cost to hire?
A four-hour half-day block is $450 and an eight-hour full day is $700, with bump-in and bump-out counted inside those hours. Overnight hire, with pack-down before 9am the next morning, is $1,000. A $120 cleaning fee is added to any event with food or BYO drinks.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. Drinks are BYO only and must be in cans, as glass isn't allowed and no alcohol is sold on site. There's no kitchen, so book your caterer or grazing table well ahead.
What time does a party have to finish?
Music has to be switched off by 10pm and everyone must have left by 10.30pm, outdoor area included. Guests are asked not to linger in the car park once the booking ends, out of respect for the neighbours.
Is the space accessible, and is there parking?
The space is wheelchair friendly, although the toilet isn't wheelchair accessible. Two car spaces out front make loading easy, and there is plenty of street parking, but no cars can be left overnight.
