The Queenslander Tavern is a local pub on Chambers Flat Road in Waterford West, on Brisbane's southern side in Logan. It pairs a bistro serving pub classics with a sports bar, pool table and digital darts, and it runs functions in two areas. The Main Bar is the larger space, holding up to 200 people for drinks or 100 seated for a lunch or dinner. Groups of most sizes can book part of it, and the whole area can be reserved when you want it to yourselves. The Beer Garden is the outdoor option, set up with white timber tables, large umbrellas and plenty of greenery. It fits up to 100 guests cocktail-style and suits after-work drinks or a casual birthday catch-up. The function pack covers several styles of catering. Canapé packages start at six items for $24 per person, platters feed a crowd from $60, and a 40-guest carvery buffet runs at $70 per adult. Plated menus, a shared family-style menu and breakfast packages round it out, and dietary needs can be catered for. Drinks come from the main bar's range of beers, wines and cocktails, and outside food and alcohol are not allowed. You can bring your own cake, with cakeage options from cutting and serving on a platter through to plating each slice with strawberries and cream. The venue suits 21st, 30th, 40th and 50th birthdays, Christmas parties, work functions and reunions.
