The Calamvale Hotel is a pub, hotel and conference centre on Compton Road in Calamvale, on Brisbane's southside. Alongside the restaurant, bars and gaming room it has four floors of function space, a ten-pin bowling alley and 60 guest suites. The Ballroom is the main event room and takes up to 600 guests. It has a mirror ball, a strong sound system and a raised platform for speeches, bands or presentations. The Circuit Room is set up for cocktail parties of up to 200, and your group gets a pool table and a dedicated bar. The Stretton Rooms are an enclosed, air-conditioned space for up to 200 with BOSE sound and audio-visual equipment, and the Mezzanine Rooms suit smaller dinners and meetings of up to 60. The Skyline Rooms are a modern suite that opens onto a covered balcony looking out over the city and surrounding suburbs. Outside, the Terrace beer garden works for relaxed drinks and casual celebrations, and the restaurant can host long group lunches and dinners. All catering comes from the hotel kitchen, and outside food and BYO drinks are not allowed. Thunderbowl, the on-site bowling alley and arcade, can be added for groups who want an activity. The events team plans weddings, birthdays, engagements, Christmas parties and conferences, and the suites upstairs let guests stay the night.
