About Stock Exchange Hotel
The Stock Exchange Hotel is a long-running pub on Charlotte Street in the Brisbane CBD, on the corner with Edward Street. It mixes old pub character with a lively, modern feel, spread over several levels that take in pub areas, sports bars with big screens and an open-air rooftop. Functions are split across six spaces. The Edward Room is the main private room, with big windows over both streets, its own bar and rooftop access, and holds 120 standing or 80 seated. The Champagne Room is smaller and more styled, with a green wall, scattered seating and space to dance for up to 80 standing or 30 seated. The Charlotte Bar is a large internal room with its own bar, private bathrooms and three screens, taking 250 standing or 120 seated, and it can take in the semi-private Vista, a ground-floor area with windows over Charlotte Street. The Boardroom suits sit-down dinners and meetings for 10 to 20 guests, with AV and dedicated wait staff. The rooftop is open-air, with umbrellas, greenery and views over the city skyline. Groups can reserve a section or take the whole rooftop, which holds up to 400 standing or 125 seated, with large LED screens and a photo wall. Food runs from canapé packages and substantial bites to shared feasting menus and platters, with options for vegetarian and gluten-friendly guests. Drinks can be set up as a timed bronze, silver or gold package, or as a bar tab. The venue can arrange a DJ, balloons, themed styling, casino tables, photo backdrops and AV. Dropped in for a late lunch on the ground floor. It was relaxed and not too crowded. The food came out fast and the chicken parma was perfect. Great spot to unwind in the CBD.
