About Orion Hotel

Orion Hotel is a large pub on Main Street in Springfield Central. Alongside its restaurant, The Spotted Gum, it has the Terrace Bar and beer garden with a live music stage and a big LED screen, plus Jimmy's Sports Bar. The Obar is the one fully enclosed function room, with a private bar, a projector, a wireless microphone and in-house speakers. It holds about 110 for cocktails, 90 theatre style or 80 at round tables, and carries a $2,000 minimum spend. The Balcony is a semi-private, partly covered space looking over the stage, the dancefloor and the LED sports screen. It can be taken whole for about 110 standing, or in halves and quarters, with minimum spends between $650 and $2,500. For smaller groups, the Café Deck faces the sports projector near the bistro and takes about 75 standing for an $800 minimum spend. The Triangle and the Verandah sit near the Terrace Bar and stage, each taking about 30 standing for a $500 minimum spend. The function menu covers buffet tables (grazing, Italian or Mexican), sliders, substantial canapés, pizza slabs and share platters. There is also a shared banquet menu of two or three courses, and the functions team helps match the area and menu to your numbers.

Pizza is always good. Steak was good perfect. Nachos disappointing. Drinks selection was ok. Nice open atmosphere. Footy playing on the big screen. Seems like a good all round place.
