About Tennyson's Garden
Tennyson's Garden is the events venue of The Brisbane Golf Club on Tennyson Memorial Avenue in Yeerongpilly. It combines a heritage-listed clubhouse, landscaped gardens and an 18-hole course, and visits are by appointment. The Tennyson Room is the main reception space, seating up to 140 under eight chandeliers. Light comes through plantation-style shutters, the foyer has its own entrance, and a private balcony looks out over the fairway. Outside, the Jacaranda Gardens take up to 200 guests. A raised, covered sandstone gazebo is the focal point for ceremonies, and the lawn suits drinks and canapés afterwards, with an indoor fallback if the weather turns. Beyond weddings, the venue hosts engagement parties, birthdays, anniversaries and vow renewals, baby showers and themed dinners. Corporate bookings cover networking functions, business dinners, product launches, team-building and golf days. Menus are written by the club's executive chef and range from grazing tables and canapés to buffets and plated dinners. Drinks packages are tailored to each event. There is a dance floor, a sound system with microphone and AV for speeches and presentations. Golf carts, course photography and a fireworks finale can be arranged, and there is plenty of parking on site.

Do I need to be a member of The Brisbane Golf Club to book?
No. Non-members can book events, and a credit card is taken as a guarantee when the booking is confirmed.
What happens if it rains on the day of an outdoor ceremony?
An indoor wet weather option is included at no extra cost. The final call on moving inside is made by 10am on the day.
What food is available?
Menus are designed by the club's executive chef and range from grazing tables and cocktail canapés to buffets and plated meals. Final numbers and dietary needs are confirmed 14 days before the event.
What time do events have to finish?
Service runs until midnight, and the event space must be cleared within 30 minutes of the finish time. Extensions are arranged and paid for in advance.
