About Ipswich Turf Club
Ipswich Turf Club is the racecourse on Brisbane Road in Bundamba, home of the Ipswich Cup and around 46 race meetings a year. Its events centre and grandstand lounges are hired out for weddings, formals, celebrations and corporate events, with free parking on site. The Trackside Lounge is on the ground floor overlooking the parade ring and winning post. It takes 250 cocktail or 120 seated, has an air-conditioned indoor room and a covered awning, easy wheelchair access and its own tote on race days. Up the terrazzo staircase at grandstand level, the Eye Liner Lounge is a private room for 230 cocktail or 120 seated. It has a fully licensed private bar, a lounge break-out area, a separate room for hosts or a bridal party to change, and lift access. For smaller groups a corporate box holds 30 standing or 20 seated with an undercover area over the grandstand. The Upper Viewing Terrace is an outdoor option with covered seating and a lawn running down to the track, with bar access on race days. Across the events centre the club can seat more than 200 or host over 500 cocktail style, which suits formals and big gala dinners. Grange Lounge and the racing museum are also among its spaces. Race day packages let businesses, sporting clubs and friends book a lounge for an afternoon of racing, and each booking can name a race that is broadcast nationally. The functions team helps shape menus, theming and timing.
