About Centenary Tavern
Centenary Tavern is a suburban pub on Sumners Road in Middle Park, in Brisbane's western suburbs. Beyond its bars and bistro, it runs a dedicated functions offer across three separate spaces, with staff on hand to look after set-up on the day. The Middle Bar is the smallest option, a lounge-style room for up to 50 guests standing, fitted with couches, TV screens, its own sound system and a private bar. Hire costs $100 and covers a bartender for three hours, white linen and a tea and coffee station. The Sumners Room sits right in the middle of the pub and holds up to 80 guests. It has its own bar, wine barrels and furniture that can be rearranged, plus a TV input for slideshows or a projector, with hire at $150. For bigger groups, the Bistro Terrace is a covered alfresco space for 100 or more, set up for cocktail-style or seated events. It has heating, a large cooling system, a projector and its own toilets, and hire is $150. Food comes as platters, a set menu or a buffet. The set menu is $45 per person for two courses or $55 for three, and the buffet is $60 per person, both for a minimum of 30 guests. A $250 deposit locks in the booking, and final numbers are confirmed a week out. Send an enquiry to check dates and spaces.
