About Burpengary Tavern
Burpengary Tavern, known locally as the Burpo, is a pub on the Eastern Service Road beside the Bruce Highway at Burpengary East. It is a long-standing local with a bistro, a sports and gaming area, a beer garden and a drive-thru bottleshop. The function room is the main event space. It is private, holds up to 100 guests seated or in cocktail style, and comes with its own bar, a dance floor and a dropdown projector. Smaller groups can book the beer garden, which takes 50 seated or standing, or a section of the courtyard dining room for 30. The tavern does not hire out the whole venue, but each of these spaces can be booked exclusively. Catering is either share platters or plated meals, and the kitchen works around dietary requirements. Platters feed eight to ten people each and include grazing, Asian, butcher's block, vegan and gluten-free selections, ordered at least a week ahead. Hosts can bring their own cake, which staff will store, plus decorations and their own entertainer by arrangement. Early set-ups and organised bar tabs are available, while confetti and BYO drinks are not allowed, and a hire fee applies that varies with the size of the event.
