About Albany Creek Tavern
Albany Creek Tavern is the local pub on Albany Creek Road, with a bistro that specialises in steaks, a sports bar, a beer garden and plenty of on-site parking. Its events team runs functions across several spaces. The private function room takes up to 80 guests and can be arranged with flexible seating for anything from a sit-down dinner to a cocktail-style party. Room hire is $200 Monday to Friday and $300 on weekends, covering extra staff, tablecloths, set-up and pack-down. The front terrace combines indoor comfort with fresh air and takes up to 60, with hire from $150 on weekdays and $200 on weekends. For bigger groups the bistro holds up to 300 and the sports bar up to 400. Food is ordered as shared platters for eight to ten guests or as an alternate-drop set menu of two or three courses. Two-hour drinks packages cover tap beer, house wine, sparkling and soft drinks, or you can run a bar tab on consumption. The function room comes with the in-house music system and a projector with a big screen for slideshows. Outside DJs and bands aren't permitted, and security is required for 18th and 21st birthday functions at the organiser's cost. A $100 deposit secures your space. What does room hire cost?
The function room is $200 Monday to Friday and $300 on Saturday and Sunday, and the terrace is $150 on weekdays and $200 on weekends. Hire covers extra staffing, tablecloths, set-up and clean-up.
Can we bring a DJ or band?
No. Outside entertainment such as DJs, soloists and bands isn't allowed because of noise limits, but the in-house music system is yours for the booking. A projector and big screen are available if you bring a laptop with an HDMI port.
Is security needed for an 18th or 21st?
Yes. Every 18th or 21st needs security, charged at $50 an hour for the length of the event, arranged through the tavern's own security provider.
Can we bring our own cake and decorations?
Yes. Bring the cake on the day, labelled with your event name, and staff will serve it with plates, spoons and a knife. Theming is welcome if it comes down cleanly, with no confetti, table scatters, tape or Blu Tack.
