About Windsor Bowls Club
Windsor Bowls Club has been part of Brisbane's inner north for more than 100 years, and it sits within the Windsor Park sporting precinct. Groups come for barefoot bowls on the club's grass greens, followed by drinks at the fully licensed bar. The club calls itself family friendly, and bowlers of all ages are welcome. There are several spaces to celebrate in. Three gazebos each hold about 50 guests and can be joined, and the weather-protected pavilion in front of a green seats about 60 as a half or 120 in full. Upstairs, the air-conditioned Greenview Room seats 80 to 100, takes up to 150 standing and suits a workshop of around 80, though it has no lift access. The club hosts birthdays and end-of-week drinks, along with conferences, seminars and corporate Christmas parties. Catering can be BBQs, platters or a tailored menu, and self-catering is possible after a chat with the function manager. On Friday and Saturday nights the kitchen opens for dinner, so a late afternoon game can roll straight into a meal. Send an enquiry with your date, numbers and preferred space to start planning.

Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to hire a function space?
A single gazebo is $50, and two or three are $100. Half the pavilion is $100 and the whole pavilion $150. The Greenview Room is $60 an hour or $400 for a full day, and prices are negotiable for groups over 50.
What should we wear for bowls?
Casual, neat clothes are fine, with flat-soled shoes, socks or bare feet on the green. Bare feet are only allowed on the green itself, so bring footwear for the clubhouse and other areas.
Can we bring our own food?
Self-catering is an option, but it needs to be discussed with the club's function manager first. Otherwise the club caters with BBQs, platters or a personalised menu, and larger bookings can have a tailored sit-down menu.
How many guests can the club hold?
The Greenview Room seats 80 to 100 formally and up to 150 standing. The full pavilion seats about 120, and each of the three gazebos holds about 50, so groups can choose a space to match their numbers.
Is the venue accessible?
The pavilion and gazebos are on the ground level beside the greens. The Greenview Room is upstairs and has no disabled access, so groups needing step-free access should plan around the outdoor spaces.
