About Coorparoo Bowls Club
Coorparoo Bowls Club has been part of the local community since 1929, and its interwar clubhouse is on the Brisbane City Council heritage register. Alongside members' competition bowls, the club opens its greens to visitors for barefoot bowls, which pairs well with a drink from the bar and a meal from the bistro. The club takes bookings for corporate groups, birthdays and Christmas parties, and a game of barefoot bowls can be added to any of them. The main function room holds up to 180 people, with a timber floor and windows that let in plenty of light and look out across the greens. For a smaller or more casual event, the Green Room Bar has comfortable seating and extends onto a covered deck facing the greens. Catering comes from the club kitchen, with a set menu or catering menu for functions, and drinks can run as a bar tab, a cash bar or a beverage package, including a non-alcoholic option.
