About Club Manly
Club Manly is a community bowls club on Faine Street in Manly, on Brisbane's bayside. Alongside its pennant and social competitions, it opens its greens to the public for barefoot bowls, so a group of friends or workmates can book a game without joining the club. Both greens are undercover and lit for night play, which means a booking is rarely lost to the weather. The club supplies the bowls, and experienced coaches help anyone who has never played before. Flat-soled shoes or bare feet are the only dress requirement. A game runs for up to two hours. Children are welcome from five years old, with under-12s rolling lighter rubber bowls, so families can bowl together. The club suggests barefoot bowls for birthdays and for corporate team building. Workplaces bring staff for farewells, office celebrations, end of financial year gatherings and Christmas parties. Bowls can be packaged with hire of the BBQ area, meals from Reedy's Bistro or a function package, and drinks are charged at club prices. Food and drink stay off the green itself. Send an enquiry with your date and group size to book.

Frequently asked questions
How much does barefoot bowls cost at Club Manly?
Adults pay $10 each for a game of up to two hours. Supervised children over 12 are $7, and children under 12 play for $5 using rubber bowls from the club.
Can young children play on the greens?
Children five and over are welcome and must be supervised. Under-12s use lighter rubber bowls supplied by the club, and children under five are not allowed on the greens.
What happens if it rains on the day?
Club Manly has two all-weather greens that are undercover and lit for day and night play, so a group booking can go ahead whatever the weather.
What should our group wear?
Casual clothes are fine. Players must wear flat-soled shoes or go barefoot on the green, and the club provides the bowls, so there is no gear to bring.
Can we organise food and drinks with our bowls?
Yes. The club can package bowls with BBQ area hire, bistro meals or a function package, and drinks are at club prices. The green itself is kept free of food, drinks and smoking.
