About Your Celebrant Lisa
Your Celebrant Lisa is Lisa Young, a marriage celebrant based in Loganholme. Before becoming a celebrant she spent more than thirty years as a music teacher and working musician, having studied music and teaching at QUT. That background shapes what she offers: a pianist and vocalist who can bring live music into the ceremony itself. There are three wedding packages, starting with a micro ceremony that runs for five to ten minutes with up to ten people and covers the legal documentation. The short-and-sweet option is a 15 to 20 minute ceremony with a PA system, recorded music, a rehearsal and no guest limit. The full package stretches to 25 to 30 minutes and adds live music. If you want more music, Lisa can add solo vocals and keyboard before the ceremony while guests arrive, during the entrance, signing and exit, and for two hours of cocktail music at the reception. Samples of her singing are on her site. She has married couples on the beach and once on board a cruise ship, where she also sang as the bride walked in. All of her ceremonies are open to same-sex and LGBTQI couples, and she also conducts commitment ceremonies, vow renewals and baby namings. Can Lisa sing at our wedding ceremony?
Yes. She is a trained vocalist and pianist and can perform before the ceremony, during the entrance, signing and exit, and for about 15 minutes afterwards.
What is the smallest package?
The micro ceremony runs five to ten minutes for the couple, two witnesses and up to ten people in total, and includes the legal documentation.
Does Lisa provide music at the reception?
She offers two hours of cocktail music at the reception as an add-on, or as a combined package with ceremony music, performing solo on vocals and keyboard.
Is travel included?
Package prices cover travel up to 50 kilometres from Loganholme. Venues further away attract a travel fee, which she can confirm when you enquire.
Does Lisa marry same-sex couples?
Yes. Her full range of ceremonies is available to same-sex and LGBTQI couples, including commitment ceremonies and vow renewals.
