Renee Wilkins is a Brisbane marriage celebrant who has conducted more than 2,500 ceremonies. Her approach is relaxed and modern, with plenty of humour, and she likes a ceremony to set the mood for the party that follows – guests laughing, a few tears during the vows and friends sharing their funniest stories. Every ceremony is handwritten for the couple. Renee also dresses to suit the style of each wedding, and she draws on an earlier career in events and marketing across the hospitality and pharmaceutical industries to keep the day running smoothly. The first meeting costs nothing and comes with no obligation. Couples choose from four styles. The full wedding package is the complete service, with a rehearsal, a presentation certificate, a printed copy of your ceremony, certificates for your attendants and witnesses, her own PA system and arrival at least an hour before you start. The Secret is an elopement for just the two of you, The Surprise turns a gathering into a wedding your guests did not see coming, and The Simple is a short registry-style legal ceremony. You can marry wherever you like – at home, in a garden, on the beach, by the river, on a farm or at the place you first met – and her fee includes travel with no hidden costs. What do we need for a registry-style wedding?
Two witnesses aged 18 or over, and the Notice of Intended Marriage lodged at least one month and one day before. Renee handles the paperwork and can marry you at home, a park or a restaurant.
